Favorite Things Friday

Okay, it's technically Saturday....not Friday. But it's 1 AM and I still haven't gone to bed, so does that count?

My favorite thing today is looking at old photos. I was transferring old pics today and it just made me smile. Cade was such a baby when we lived in St. Louis. I thought he was so big back then. Funny how time can change your perspective. And talk about being a BABY...Carson was totally a baby when Tiegan was born. He still is, but he wasn't even walking when we found out we were having Tiegan.

So, here's a peek at what made me smile today:

Anthropologie

Dear Anthropologie,

I just want you to know how much I love this:

this:

this:

this:

this:

and this:

Do you prefer your payment in an arm or a leg?

Ms. Wendy's Restaurant

Tonight we went to Wendy's. When we walked into the restaurant, Carson was looking all around and said, "Where's Ms. Wendy?" (she's a good friend of mine). We tried to explain it to him, but it was futile.

I forgot how much fun this age is  {when they're not being naughty}.

Favorite things Friday!

Okay, I'm disgracing my own generation here, but I can't contain how excited I am that today is opening day for...

Having read the book, there's so much that could be done with it cinematically. I'm so curious to see how they put it together and if they stayed true to the book.

I'm like an adolescent school girl giddy with excitement!

Carson vs. Mommy round 2, day 2

After yesterday's escapade,
Chris and I were convinced that we had a bad case of
 Middle Child Syndrome.
It's a dreadful disease.
I've seen it's effects before, even in my own sister...
who happens to be a middle child herself.
Anyway, upon realization that our own beloved child
was suffering from this ailment,
we were determined to step up our
 A Game

And so, our morning was filled with lots of books,
plenty of cheerful and fun songs,
lots of giggles and squeezes,
as well as the essential learning activities involving ABC's and 123's.
Great morning.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with my sweet two-year-old.

And then I had to go
 to the restroom.
Being that I am a woman who suffers from a certain affliction
around the same time every month...
there are certain things that I...
need to do in private.
Things that aren't very easy to do with a
 two-year-old and a one-year-old in the room.
I literally put down the books we had been reading,
walked into the bathroom,
did my business (probably 2-3 minutes),
went into the kitchen and found this:

Stinker Pot
had gotten into the top cabinet
and poured out an entire box of
Baking Powder.
{Side note: have you ever had to clean up an entire box of Baking Powder?
 It's called Baking POWDER for a reason.}

Mommy won this round. Praying for endurance to win the NEXT round.

Good Times

Long story short, I thought Carson was watching a DVD and he wasn't.

Instead he was doing this:

What you CAN'T see is the truckloads of toilet water all over the place, the lotion all over anything sitting still, and the tiny bits and pieces of slimy wet toilet paper. His arm was wet up to his shoulder and there was water all over his tummy, pants and on his shoes. LORD only KNOWS what he did. Apparently it had something to do with sticking his arm as far into the toilet as he could.

Parenting a two year-year-old. Good times.

It's Favorite Things Friday

I LOVE me some chandeliers!

It probably doesn't come as a surprise to you that I love spray painted chandeliers, since I confessed that painting was my favorite pass-time! =)

I would put one in every room if I didn't happen to live with four boys.

I LOVE vintage ones:

Can't think of where this would go... but OY, is it GLAM!

And in related news, I've decided I LOVE striped rugs.

And black and white striped curtains...

A productive weekend

With the gorgeous weather we've been having, I've gotten to do a lot of my favorite pass-time...painting.

More pics to come...

Favorite Things Friday!

Today's Favorite Thing is:

Remembering to put my cell phone in my purse, rather carrying it out to the car in my hand-- and therefore having to put my cell phone on top of the car to free up my hands so I can put the baby in the car.

Yeah...you see where this is going....

Bye-bye cell phone.

Ghostbusters!

Every time we get in the car this is what we listen to. Over. And over. And over again.

I can't get it out of my head.

At least it's a great song-- I USED to like it {before my 2 year old became obsessed with it}. When Cade went through this age, his obsession was more along the lines of:

and:

So, I guess I can handle an iconic 80's song.

Traci Romine

I'm a mom of three bouncing boys (two of which I'm pictured with). I could stop right there, and you'd already have a pretty accurate idea of what life is like in my house! I'm a lover of all things crafty! I love getting my hands dirty! I love the gratification I feel when I see something that inspires me, and then I make it myself. My husband and I have had to move to many different states, and have had to start from scratch each time (No, we're not fugitives!), so all of my decorating has been on a budget!

Thank you for your interest in my blog. Stick around! =)

Having a GREAT Hair Day!

This is a post from Little Green Notebook. Happy Monday!

Check out these before and afters of runway models at a Gucci fashion show from New York Magazine.

Apparently, all you need is a team of professional stylists and three hours and you can look like a supermodel...

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling just a little better about myself today. =)

Happy Monday!!
