Favorite Things Friday!!!

Happy Friday, Friends!

I can't tell you how much I'm loving my time in

Texas visiting my

sick Dad
I'm so happy to report that he's doing well.

Today was a somber day,

but overall a good day.

It's absolutely amazing

how far he's come since the

 last time I was here!

Some days are good.

Some days are bad.

But what I have to remember is that

even though we may have set-backs

occasionally,

 we're fighting a battle.

And just like on the battle field, we may have some

rough moments...but what matters is the

big picture!

And I most certainly can see a huge difference

from where we were a few months ago!

See?!

Months ago his kidney doctor told mom,

"Literally thousands of people have come through

this hospital with the same exact thing as your husband.

And not one of them has left here alive."

Just last week that same doctor came back to my mom and said,

"I apologize for what I said. I felt at that time that I had to

be realistic with you. But your husband is

TOUGH!

He's a FIGHTER!

He's gonna make it!!!!"

Don't you LOVE it?!

That's what our God can do!!!!

but it's also one of my

 favorite

With everything we've been through with my dad,

we've had so many roller-coaster days!

 Full of emotion!

Full of doubt!

Full of fear!

Full of worry!

But God, in his amazing strength and wisdom,

has given us what we have needed

to get through

 each and every day.

I know now what that means for him to

"quiet you with his love."

Although I hate that Dad has had to go through

so very much these past

{almost} five months...

seeing God's hand sustain us all

has been one of the most

amazing experiences of my life!
