that Dad has been in the Hospital!

While that is not my
favorite thing that this hellacious roller coaster
has been dragging on for six months,

it IS my favorite thing that he is
not only still with us, but he's
making a full recovery!

Yesterday, the boys and I got to speak to him on the phone.
My sister, Heather, called us and
right away handed the phone to Dad.
He sounded like himself
for the first time in six months!
He was joking with us and he was
so incredibly clear-minded!
Absolutely music to my ears!
And that's not all.
Not even close!
Are you ready for this?!
The doctor said that the goal
is to get my Dad
HOME
for
Christmas!
Isn't that just the most ridiculous,
most amazing thing you've ever heard?!
This experience has changed everything I think about
God.
It's changed everything I think about
death.
I'm amazed by his power.
I'm humbled by his provision.
I'm in awe of his GOODNESS!
My Favorite Thing!
I will type through my tears. You said all that I feel. can you imagine the celebration that we will have this year if we get him home for Christmas!!! I can't wait!!! I'll also add that this has taken to a place in faith that I never even knew about less alone thought about being. I am not thankful for the suffering, but I am thankful for what it has put in each of us. I really believe that we have each received something new that could have only been achieved through this. He is so GOOD!!
